CE Content Retreat Date: February 15 – 22, 2014 Living a Fertile Life: Experiencing the Path of Mindfulness retreat will provide a week long experience in learning the theory and application of mindfulness as it applies to: managing stress, improving brain function, cultivating mindfulness-oriented meditation for stress reduction, mindful movement techniques to deepen the mind-body connection, mindful communication techniques to strengthen relationships, utilizing mindfulness to enhance problem solving abilities and exploring mindfulness as a practice to improve physical and emotional health and wellbeing.
The retreat will offer 2 hours of daily learning content for 6 consecutive days taught by Helen Adrienne, LCSW. Larry Cammarata, Ph.D. will provide an additional 1.25 hours of daily learning content for 7 consecutive days. This is a total of 20 hours, 45 minutes of learning content for the participants during the 7 nights, 8-day retreat.

(8.75 hours) with Larry Cammarata, Ph.D. His content is in addition to the above material. His portion of the retreat will focus on Mindful Movement, and will include a daily introductory lecture.
Mindful Movement: Qigong for Health and Wellness

The skill of enhanced body awareness can support the presence of both client and clinician. Mindful movement can add dynamism and energy to the treatment process, literally “moving” our clients towards the experience of wholeness while facilitating embodied insight. We will examine mindfulness, mindful movement, and body-oriented strategies designed to facilitate self-regulation, mood stabilization, and enhanced concentration.

Plan to purchase your airfare from your area (US, Canada, etc.) into San Jose, Costa Rica three to four months prior to the retreat date, February 15-22, 2014. (Arriving Feb. 15, departing Feb. 22, 2014)

Feb. 15, 2013 Arrive at the Iguana Lodge
Day 1: Arrival at the Iguana Lodge welcomes you with a cool refreshing beverage and delicious snack. Take time to get settled into your gorgeous open air accommodations, relax in your space, and take in the exquisite, abundant nature that envelops you in this deep green rainforest. You will be enchanted by the sounds, colors, and sights that surround you as you gaze from your beautiful room. You will be living in harmony with the magnificent sacred rainforest. Take a walk along the quiet sandy beach, take a swim in the ocean, or relax by the pool. We begin our retreat with a Welcome Dinner at 7:00 pm.

Daily Sample Schedule: (schedule is subject to change) All planned activities are optional, and you must attend mindful movement classes and “Living a Fertile Life” classes to receive approved CE’s.
• Daily 6 am-6:30 am Enjoy Coffee, Tea and a light morning snack. Awaken to the delightful and curious sounds only found in an ancient rainforest. Take in the morning beauty from your accommodations.
• 6:30-7:30 am Nature Hikes
• 7:45-9:00 am Mindful Movement Classes with Larry Cammarata-Qigong, Linda Cammarata-Yoga
• 9:00-10:00 Fresh homemade breakfast.
• 10-1 pm Free time or attend a scheduled nature-based activity
• 1-2 pm Delicious Lunch
• 2-4 pm Free Time (afternoon swim, snorkel, kayaking in the ocean, relaxation by the pool, schedule an optional massage, schedule an optional jungle or water activity).
