3 Tips for Promoting YOU
Whether you're an author, restaurant owner, consultant, entrepreneur, or physician, it is critical that you get the word out about who you are, what you do and how you can solve problems for individuals. See our 3 tips below for doing just that and driving people to seek you out and learn more about you!
1. Internet Radio Shows: There are several platforms for starting your own internet radio show. At L.E.A.R.N for Life Consulting, L.L.C we use BlogTalkRadio. You can hear our previous shows by clicking HERE. We have a weekly show on topics such as mental health, wellness, financial literacy and much more. The idea for you is to have a format to get the word out about who you are, what you do, and how you can assist others. How can you make their lives easier, solve their problems, answer pressing questions that they have? If you don't have time to start your own radio show, become a guest on a show. Listen to archived versions of shows and contact the host to see if they are looking for someone with your expertise to be on their show. This will get you heard by others who will want to do business with you or invite you onto their show as a guest.
2. Webinars: From GotoMeeting to Wiggio to Anymeeting there are a plethora of wonderful platforms that you can use to create a professional looking webinar that can reach many potential customers, consumers, fans and clients. Our website has examples of webinars that we have created for partners and clients. If you don't have time to do a complete webinar, there are a lot of tools you can use that interface with PowerPoint in order to create a screen shot for sharing on social media (twitter, facebook, youtube). Before you create a webinar, decide if you're using it as a marketing tool, educational tool or both.
3. Host a local networking event: At L.E.A.R.N for Life Consulting, L.L.C we have monthly networking events around Manhattan where we invite authors, non-profits, restaurant owners business people and more to promote themselves, get the word out about the great work they're doing and mix and mingle with potential clients and customers. The key to such an event, whether its a networking breakfast or cocktail hour, is to invite individuals who have shown an interest in either doing business with you, cultivating business for you, or learning more about what you do, and then cast a wide, but smart net.
Thanks and good luck!
